UNDAF Presentation for DPs

The UNDAF was informed by key findings and recommendations from the evaluation of the current UN programming cycle – Lesotho UN Development Assistance Plan (2013-2018), Common Country Analysis, UN 2030 Agenda Visioning, Strategic Prioritization Retreat. The key feature of this document is a strong national ownership, the UNDAF has been developed in close consultations with Government of Lesotho and all UN partners.

Aligned to the National Strategic Development Plan II priorities and with Sustainable Development Goals at its core, UNDAF builds on UN comparative advantages and capacities and also builds on the experiences gathered from the adoption of the Delivering as One modality in 2009 in Lesotho. Resulting from the consultations during the Strategic Prioritization Retreat held in October 2017, the UN Country Team in Lesotho formulated key priority areas-pillars under the new UNDAF that aim to contribute to the NSDP II identified priorities.

The document is in its final drafting stage and the discussions held during the meeting today will provide additional inputs for its finalization as the UN will move towards UNDAF singing together with the Government of Lesotho.
