UN Lesotho Plants 2,030 Trees with Partners to Mark 2017 UN Day

The global theme this year was "Greening the Blue".
UN Day 2017 in Lesotho was celebrated through planting 2,030 trees in Mafeteng district this year under the global theme “Greening the Blue.”
The 2,030 trees symbolize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development where continuous improvement of the country’s environment is essential, and this can be achieved through suitable practices that can make a difference.
The event was joined by national partners, local district authorities, local communities, UN staff and their families.
